However, karaoke bars can be found pretty much all over the place. Due to government regulations most music played in public is Burmese. Large hotels in major city centers such as Yangon and Mandalay offer various forms of entertainment for guests including bars and karaoke. In some cases there are special dance performances in hotels and other establishments performed by local artist and musicians. There is also a wide variety of movies available to watch in Myanmar at local cinemas as well as puppet shows.

BME Entertainment
This particular night-life destination draws crowds in with more than just music. While BME 2 is a venue for superb house music and amazing live performances by rock bands, its kitschy ambiance is enough to gain this nightspot a loyal following. In fact, BME 2 is a frequent hangout of the expatriate community in Yangon . Opening hours until 12:30 nightly. Its located near the Summit Parkview Hotel at 350 Ahlone Road.


One of the most popular discos in Yangon, (government owned). Frequented by foreigners and businessmen. This is the most fun club in Yangon night life because it only holds until late at night around 2 or 3 AM next morning. You can find no other late club than the Pioneer. The most famous DJs there are DJ Phyo & Jay plus a fashion show and band alternate during the night. It's good to go there after 09.00 PM. Pioneer Nightclub draws a fair-sized crowd almost any night of the week. Music is decent. Female clientele are mostly working girls.Their is a 6000 kyat entry fee whic is good for one beer
